Low Body Image and its Impact on Sexuality

Research shows that the lower the body image, the less likely a woman will enter into a sexual situation or tell her partner what she wants sexually. This is completely independent of what she actually looks like - tall, short, curvy, thin - but rather how she sees and feels about herself. .
.
Body image is not set in stone and negative body image, especially, is very conscious. I would wager that the majority of us can rattle off a laundry list of things we’d like to change about our bodies. .
.
These critical and detrimental narratives are something that can be changed with conscious effort. It might sound silly but daily positive affirmations do eventually evolve into positive body image! Write it out, say it out loud, share it with a friend. However you express those positive affirmations, it’s never too late to embrace your body image and reap the sexual benefits of doing so!
