Privacy policy

 

All sessions are private and confidential. All information collected in session or through written documents is held in the strictest confidence and is not released without written authorization from you, the client. There are certain situations, however, where I am required to release information. They are as follows:

  • If there is any indication that a child is at risk from sexual, physical, emotional abuse and/or neglect.

  • If there is danger of the client seriously hurting themselves.

  • If there is a danger of the client seriously hurting someone else.

  • In the case where a client has been abused by a healthcare professional.

  • When documents and reports are subpoenaed by the court.


storage of Personal Information

All personal information collected on paper (consent forms, personal information forms, notes, and other documentation) is stored in locked cabinets, and any information held electronically is password protected. Personal information is kept for 10 years following client file closure. After 10 years, paper documents are shredded and electronic information is deleted.

 

 

Fees and Cancellation policy

Individual Sessions are typically $190/50 minute session and relationship sessions (2+people in session) are $225/50 minute session. Payment for sessions are due at the end of each session and can be paid by credit or email money transfer. Receipts are issued upon payment.

Receipts issued are recognized by most insurance providers. It is up to the client to ensure that their provider covers the charges.

If you are not able to make your session for any reason, please provide as much notice as possible. Missed sessions with less than 48 hours notice will be charged at full price to the client.
