Nipples and Sexual Play

Have you ever wondered why nipples are so sensitive to sexual play? Turns out your not the only one. In a research study done in 2011, brain mapping was done to discern what happens when women’s nipples are stimulated. The results showed that the pathway in the brain that the stimulated nipple takes is similar to the one for when the clitoris, vagina and cervix. This might also explain why some women can orgasm from nipple stimulation alone. .

Sadly I couldn’t find a similar study done for men but it would be interesting (and likely) to see if the same neural pathway exists there. If someone is aware of such a study, please send me the reference!
