Physical Activity and Sexual Health

It’s not news that physical activity is good for you. But what about in relation to your sexual health? .
.
Exercising has many sexual health benefits. The most obvious being when you exercise regularly, you feel better physically. Studies also show that it impacts body image, regardless of weight loss or gain from the actual activity - and as we know (from a previous post) how we feel about our body image impacts the way we interact sexually. .
.
Physical activity, especially yoga also helps us to become aware of our bodies and connect more deeply our minds and bodies, also leading to a more embodied sexual experience. .
.
Exercise has also been shown to improve mental health. And as we know (again from a previous post) that our brain is our biggest sexual organ.
.
.
Mental health, physical health, sexual health - they are all connected! So get out there and even go for a walk! It’ll be worth it!
