Sleep and Sex 2

As a follow up to my last post on the impact of sleep on sexual health, research has also shown in addition to desire, sleep also impacts sexual function. .

One study found a link between those who had obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia or worked shift work are erectile dysfunction (ED) and/or other urological disorders. .

Another study looked at the link between women’s sexual function and sleep and found that decreased sleep increased the likelihood of pain during intercourse, decreased lubrication and decreased ability to orgasm. .

So while I’m sure I didn’t need to reiterate how important sleep is, the above are even more of a reason to make sleep a priority - it truly does affect everything in our lives! Happy snoozing!
